ISLMA Virtual Conference
Welcome to the registration for the second ISLMA Virtual Conference! Many thanks to DuPage Library System for letting us use their Wimba Conference Room to make this opportunity available to you who are unable to physically attend our annual conference in Arlington Heights on November 7, 2008.
The sessions being offered and the times at which they will be available are:
1. Session 1 (9:15 – 10:15 am) – “Celebrations Work!” presented by Helen Rifkin and Penny Swartz. (for grades 5-12)
2. Session 2 (10:30 – 11:30 am) – “A Professional Fitness Plan: Web 2.0 Tools to Develop a Personal Learning Network” presented by Doug Johnson. (for grades PreK-12)
3. Session 3 (1:15 –2:15 pm) – “Teamwork Works! Collaborating to Integrate Information Literacy Skills in the Curriculum” presented by Molly Klowden, Sue Tindall, and Julia Buckley. (for grades 9-12)
4. Session 4 (2:30 – 3:30 pm) – “What Would Dewey Do?” presented by Anita Beaman and Amy Oberts. (for grades PreK – 12)

To register, you need to indicate which sessions you want to “attend” online. Please provide all the information requested on this form.
Advanced registration is required. You will receive (by email) the web site to which you will go on November 7th at the appointed time as well as a login to get you into the Conference Room. Each session will begin promptly. Other directions for downloading the Wimba software before November 7 will be sent to you in late October.
Registration deadline is October 30, 2008.
Participants will need a computer with Internet access and sound capability.
(Headsets are recommended).
Participants will be able to:

HEAR the presenters.

VIEW any power points, etc. available from the presenters.

TEXT Message to session mediator ques. to relay to presenters.

ASK real time questions if you have a microphone.
Those who “attend” will receive recertification credit (1 CPDU per session) after an evaluation form is completed and submitted.
