Candace Fleming is an Illinois author who spent part of her growing up years in Charleston, Il. As a matter of fact, she attended the same grade school where the chair of the Monarch Award, Pam Storm, is currently the library media specialist. It is often a small world. Candace now lives in a suburb of Chicago with husband and two sons. Illustrator: G. Brian Karas
